Dining:
Chair 6 Restaurant Our new favorite in Lake Placid. Very intimate. Very fresh and natural ingrediants. Doesn't look like much from the outside. You'll want to make a reservation, as it is a small place.
Lisa G's They don't seem to have a website. Another Lake Placid favorite, located at 6125 Sentinel Road. Nice ambiance inside and a wonderful big deck by the river when during the warm months. We've enjoyed our meals every time.
Great Adirondack Steak and Seafood A wonderful steak and seafood restaurant with an onsite brewery. Excellent food and award winning brew make this restaurant a must.
The Hungry Trout Nearby the Hungry Trout offers fine dining with a view of lighted waterfalls of the Ausable River. On the same premises R.F. McDougall's offers burgers, sandwiches and other pub food.
The Wilderness Inn Right next door to Brookside, The Wilderness Inn offers steaks, seafood, salad bar and a child's menu in a charming rustic atmosphere. Our favorite in Wilmington, and one of our favorite's in the whole area. Enjoy the deck in the warmer months.
Lake Placid Just 15-20 minutes away, this Adirondack village has shops, restaurants and the Olympic village, host to the 1980 and 1932 winter games.
Olympic Regional Development Authority Comprising Whiteface Mt. and the Mt. Van Hoevenberg sports complex you can learn more about the games, go downhill or cross country skiing, ice skating, biking or take a bobsled ride.
